Marshalls asked Jumbo Stud Ltd. to deliver and build 2-hour fire-rated partitions within one of their aircraft hangars in the City airport.
The jumbo stud wall partition, which was built to nearly 14 metres in height, was completed in just under three weeks.
Due to the location of the partition and the specification of the hangar, we provided structural calculations for the jumbo stud wall, which is designed to withhold huge wind pressures due to the huge hangar doors.
- F120 Jumbo Stud system provides 120 minutes of fire protection with 60dB soundproofing.
- We independently provided and fixed a head deflection above the main wall to allow for the building's movements during summer and winter.
